SKIMBOARD

There are two main groups of skimboards and they're suitable for different types of skimboarding. 

- Flatland skimboards are great for flat and shallow water. In Sweden the main board to use is a flatland skimboard. 
Flatland skimboard usually mainly contains of thin layers of wood where either the top of the deck is wood or EVA. EVA is an anti skid foam that saves you money on wax.
If your board doesn't have EVA on top you'll need either wax or a tailpad for good grip. 

- The skimboards for riding shore breaks are built more like a classic surf board. They are more buoyant and can carry the rider on more deeper waters.
